Many Christians have a sin consciousness today. That is why the church for the most part is powerless. Preachers of old preached in a way that caused many Christians to have a sin consciousness. They preached so much about sin instead of the fact that all our sins are paid for. If the preachers will convert to preaching about what Jesus did on the cross, people will have a righteous consciousness as opposed to a sin consciousness.
Jesus paid the price for our sins. we are no longer under the law. We are under the new covenant. Hebrews 8:12 makes that clear. God said that he would put his laws in our minds and write them in our hearts. He would be our God, and we would be to him a, people. He further stated that he woould be merciful to our unrighteousness, and our sins and iniqities, He would remember no more.
The covenant came as a result Jessus Christ dying in our place. The bill has been paid. My sin debt is at zero balance. We need to understand what Jesus did for us. We will get a better understanding of God's love when we do. Jesus made it possible for us to have a righteous consciousness. A righteous consciousness producess: justification, honor, innocence, trust, and faith.
We must walk accordding to a righteous consciousness. The power of God is found in a righteous cousciousness. When we walk with a righteous consciousness, God is then able to wrought many miracles through us. A righteous consciousness is produced by believing what God said in Hebrews 8:12. It shows us that we are righteous regardless of our performance. It is through faith that we are made righteous.
