41g6TGmqjPL. SX331 BO1204203200Tell us something unexpected about yourself!

I've traveled to 46 countries and am training for the Senior Olympics in sprints with an amazing personal trainer and co-author Rene Sepulveda.

Why do you write?

I enjoy the research and getting deeply involved in understanding and if possible knowing the subject matter. My present 3 volume series has been so inspiring and Coach Robert Sepulveda is an amazing man and at 85 still runs daily. A true patriot in his commitment to young people and the mutual respect he has for them and them for me.

Where did you get the inspiration for your current book?

My best friend and personal trainer.

What do you enjoy the most about your genre?

The research and bringing a story to life with so many moving parts. You begin in one direction and end up with a completely different product than what you initially envisioned.

How would you describe your writing process?

Collaborative research and inspiration.

What do you think authors have to gain from participating in social media?

A presence and entertaining. A good core product and a commitment to the product.

What advice would you have for other writers?

It may not be perfect but a perfection is never a real event. If it feels good go for it.

How do you select your books’ titles and covers?

I try to create a cover that reflects what I feel about the contents. A picture into the emotion of the book.

What's your next step?

Completing the next book of the 3 part series by August 15th.

What book do you wish you had written?

The Bible lol not because of faith but its the best seller LOL!

How do you react to seeing a new review for your book?

I get excited no matter the review.
