Tell us something unexpected about yourself!

I love to dance to 90's rap and hip hop

Why do you write?

I feel led to. It's my God given mission to share my triumph over hurtful experiences. I want to offer hope to women who are in a low depressed state of mind and show them a way out. I choose the written word because I communicate much better that way; verbally I am a mess. My thoughts come out quicker than I can form sentences. Writing allows me to slow down and complete my thought plus it's been very therapeutic.

Where did you get the inspiration for your current book?

I have always wanted to create something beautiful. A therapeutic journey for the reader and something they would be excited to come back to each day. Journaling has helped me open myself up to vulnerability and stories of triumph from others motivate and inspire. This is my objective in this book to be an open book. That was a deliberate pun! I aim to inspire and motivate others to keep going!

What do you enjoy the most about your genre?

That God is the center. All things were created by Him , through Him and for Him!

How would you describe your writing process?

I meditate and allow memories to surface. I pray and ask God to help me share what will help others the most.

What do you think authors have to gain from participating in social media?

Social media has allowed for such a vast reach and impact. Its an incredible way get your message out to those who need your message and story.

What advice would you have for other writers?

Write the thing and publish it! If its on your heart and soul to write about it then there is someone who needs to read it. Get it out there!

How do you select your books’ titles and covers?

I love to draw and design; its one of the fun parts of the process. Creating the graphics and the cover impresses upon the reader the feeling I want them to have. The title becomes obvious the more I allow the Holy Spirit to lead me.

What's your next step?

On to the next book in 2023. For 2022, I plan to create a course called “Equipped to Me” and a podcast called ” Beautiful as You” by the end of the year. I will be busy but I am motivated.

What book do you wish you had written?

Not so much wish I had written a particular book but I do wish I had started the journey sooner. I have so much in me that I want to get out into the world. There are 8 books titles right now in my brain that I am ready to bring to life!

How do you react to seeing a new review for your book?

It lights me up! What an amazing feeling to know what I created has touched someone in a positive way.
