Chapter One
Rain came down on Jaymee’s head like water pouring from Niagara Falls. On her knees and soaking wet, she wasn’t fazed by it as she stared at the headstone that read ‘Alexis Dean’. The heavy rain made it hard to see the tears racing down her face. She leaned forward and embraced the headstone like it was a person. The graveyard was in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the famous Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis cemetery.
It was Alexis’ wish to be buried there next to her mother and father. It was also on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean which made it a peaceful resting place. But knowing that Alexis was murdered, Jaymee found no peace. Her heart was filled with hateful revenge. The pain she wore on her face could be seen from far away. Jaymee was astounded as she thought about all of the stolen moments, the times she never got to spend with Alexis.
Alexis was her birth mother who had given her up to Gloria Dean to be raised as her own. She had recently come back into Jaymee’s life and given her the reins to the Gloria Dean Company by way of backend dealings, deception, and murder. None of that mattered to Jaymee; she was just fascinated with Alexis being her mother because of her poor relationship with Gloria and Jasmine, who was raised as her older sister.
Knowing that Gloria would fight until the end to get her company back, Jaymee had looked forward to her and Alexis destroying Gloria together. With Alexis now gone, Jaymee didn’t know exactly how she would achieve that goal; but with every bone in her body she was willing to die trying.

It had been an epic, fierce, fight which left many deaths in her path, and when the smoke cleared Gloria had lost her crown jewel, The Gloria Dean Company. As with most dynasties, all it takes is one small crack and the downfall begins. Gloria’s small crack was her step-mother, Alexis, who was also her daughter, Jaymee’s biological mother.
Alexis had turned Jaymee against her and within days her dynasty was gone. Gloria did what she knew best and destroyed Alexis, but she also permanently ruined her relationship with Jaymee. With her biological mother dead, Jaymee picked up the vengeful fight against Gloria, even though Gloria was done fighting. But when one of Gloria’s children dies violently, in lieu of her, Jaymee looks like the culprit.
Gloria begins to fight fire with fire. Enlisting Jasmine to lead the way, they craft out a plan to destroy Jaymee and take back their fashion empire. Out for blood, old and new enemies strategize to see the head of the company dead.
By any means necessary, whoever sits in the Queen’s chair will be Dethroned by a bullet.
