Today, we’re talking with A. J. Gallant
Tell us something unexpected about yourself!
I usually write at night, sometimes until five in the morning.
Why do you write?
Writing makes me happy.
Where did you get the inspiration for your current book?
Ideas are a dime a dozen. Getting to the END is a journey in exploration.
What do you enjoy the most about your genre?
Multiple genres. And so I write paranormal detectives, fantasy, and vampires. Dracula is a good guy in my series.
How would you describe your writing process?
I write every single day, and the words add up.
What do you think authors have to gain from participating in social media?
They have a LOT to gain.
What advice would you have for other writers?
The first draft is garbage. Get to work and revise and edit and check.
How do you select your books’ titles and covers?
I try to come with something that impresses.
What’s your next step?
Working on Alien Drop. Horror.
What book do you wish you had written?
Everything by Harlan Ellison.
How do you react to seeing a new review for your book?
Some reviews are not honest. Bad reviews, especially for a new book, can potentially destroy it.
